There is celadon, and then there is celadon that fits in the palm of your hand. The gang cup takes its form from the ancient water jar — wide-rimmed, round-bellied, steady-footed. It sits firmly in the hand, generous and grounded. It is the classic master cup — one cup, one person, one pot, one ritual. A cup for slow mornings and quiet evenings. Five cups, five glazes, five carvings, five moods. Ready to collect them all?
1. Liu Guangwei · Pale Yellow · Peach & Plum Blossom
The glaze is a soft, clear pale yellow. A peach and plum blossoms are carved into the body — the peach full and round, the plum branch reaching across. A cup that carries good fortune quietly.
2. Qiu Mingjie · Fenqing Iron-Body · Plain, No Crackle
The glaze is Fenqing — luminous and clear. The body is iron-rich clay, giving it a quiet weight. No carvings. No decoration. Just glaze and form. The quietest cup of the five — and the one that rewards the longest looking.
3. Wu Ting · Deep Yellow · Crane & Auspicious Clouds
The glaze is a warm, antique deep yellow. A crane spreads its wings among auspicious clouds — a symbol of longevity and good fortune. A quiet blessing in every sip.
4. Wu Ting · Plum Green · Azure Dragon
The glaze is Plum Green — deep and clear. An azure dragon coils around the body — scales distinct, clouds swirling, power held in stillness. A cup that holds the weather.
5. Wu Yong · Fenqing (Powder Blue) · Pine & Distant Mountains The glaze is Fenqing — soft as jade. A pine tree and distant mountains are carved into the body — branches strong, peaks fading into the distance. A landscape in your hand.
