This tea set comes from Longquan, where the craft has been passed down for a thousand years. It is made by Lin Min, a master whose hands carry the weight of tradition. The Fenqing glaze — the colour of a pale dawn sky — is soft as mist, smooth as jade, with no crackle. Just pure, quiet clarity.

The pumpkin teapot is round and full, its ribs tracing the form of a ripened pumpkin — each lobe distinct, each curve flowing into the next. The lid fits seamlessly, the knob shaped like a curved stem, playful and alive. The glaze covers it evenly, warm as jade, quiet as stone. The pumpkin has long been a symbol of abundance and continuity — “may your family flourish like spreading vines.”

The three plum blossom cups stand straight and upright. On each, plum branches are carved into the clay — the stems strong and weathered, the blossoms opening one by one, some still in bud, some fully unfurled, as if caught in the stillness of a winter morning. The plum blooms in the cold, alone and fearless — a symbol of resilience, purity, and the noble soul.

At the base of each cup, the glaze pools thick and clear. In the high heat of the kiln, fine earthworm lines have formed across the surface — winding, delicate, a mark of wood-firing, rare and treasured. Tiny bubbles float within the glaze, scattered like the first snow of winter. Each line, each bubble — a breath of the kiln. A signature of the fire.

One teapot, three cups — a quiet tea table for sharing. The teapot holds the abundance of autumn. The cups carry the resilience of winter. The passage of the seasons, held in a single set.
